Wavepoint Church is a non-denominational Christian Church that strives to reach young adults in the Mira Mesa area. We know they are looking for community, and we understand their struggles. We believe that our community is incredibly fulfilling as Christ is who drives us.

Our
Pastor
Joshua Choi
Joshua received his calling to be a pastor back in High School during a mission trip to the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil. Since being radically transformed on that same mission trip, Joshua has graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a degree in Christian Studies & spent the past two years serving as the Youth Pastor at San Diego Tree Church, a local Korean Church based in Rancho Bernardo. Back in April of this year, Joshua invited several of his closest friends into ministry & Wavepoint Church was born.
Joshua’s approach to ministry is twofold, to preach the gospel (Matthew 28: 19-20) & to love whom the society considers “the least” Matthew 25: 40). Together, Joshua and his friends seek to cultivate a community where people are welcomed into the church through fellowship, learn to become worshippers who use their God given Gifts and talents to advance the Kingdom of God, & are willing to serve others even in the midst of inconvenience. All of this is done with the end goal of planting an “Love-First” church in Mira Mesa dedicated to serving & meeting the needs of the local community
Our Vision
Our Past
Wavepoint Church was Established in June of 2024 by Joshua Choi & his friends.
After several months of meeting together as a Leadership team, We started our first Point Group - a bible study / small group designed to build community & encourage everyone to grow in their own relationship with the Lord
Our Present
In January of this year we launched a second Point Group hoping to create further opportunity for more young adults to engage with our Church.
We are currently gathering as a house church in an Apartment in La Jolla. Reach out if you're interested in joining us!
Our Future
Our long term goal is to establish ourselves as a multigeneration church in the Mira Mesa area in northern San Diego. ​
We are praying for doors to open in the area for us to do ministry & are believing for a building to meet in. We hope to be in Mira Mesa as soon as possible, but know & trust that God will make a way when the time is right.
